The first pilot test for the 2021 Population Census was carried out from August 20th to September 6th of 2018 in 38 municipalities distributed by among 13 Federation Units, covering urban areas, rural areas and areas of traditional peoples and communities in the North, Northeast, Southeast and South Regions. This operation was aimed at testing the first version of the questionnaire, evaluating the performance of the collection tool, respondents' understanding of the questions, the duration of the interviews, as well as at producing inputs to evaluate operational aspects that are essential for its planning.
