In the 2022 Census, for the first time, the basic and sample questionnaires will have spatially-controlled questions, that is, questions that will be asked in areas selected and mapped before the operation. The definition of the housing units that will answer these specific questions will start with the evaluation of the position of housing units in relation to areas of interest for these answers. This verification is done in the enumerator’s Mobile Data Collection Device at the time of the interview.

This new functionality will be applied to specific questions applied to the indigenous and quilombola populations. More details can be found in the session “Traditional Peoples and Communities”.
