The IBGE State Superintendence in Pernambuco carried out meetings in February to improve partnerships related to the 2022 Census. On Monday (27), the SES Superintendent, Gliner Alencar, and the Coordinator of Repacs, Enildo Meira, met the new Secretary of Planning of Pernambuco, Fabrício Marques. It was the first meeting with representatives of the administration elected last October.

Among the agendas discussed in the headquarters of the Secretariat of Planning of Pernambuco (Seplag) were the support to the dissemination of the Census in the entire state, as well as the accomplishment of the State Repac, preferably with the presence of the newly elected Governor of Pernambuco, Raquel Lyra.

“The major focus of SES-PE is to look for important partnerships for the IBGE, as well as to maintain the communication with the society, in order to subsidize decisions in the public and private spheres. For example, the secretary of Planning informed that the new administration is carrying out a survey to install more nurseries in Pernambuco and the Census data will be important to support such work,” details Meira.

The IBGE State Superintendence in Pernambuco also met representatives of the City Hall of Recife last February 16, at the headquarters of SES-PE, to accomplish the second Repac in Recife and discuss strategies to improve the Census data collection. It aimed at reducing the index of occupied households without any interview, with the support of the City Hall in the dissemination of the data collection, as well as with the provision of a municipal team to streamline the access of IBGE teams to risk areas.

The IBGE Superintendent in Pernambuco, Gliner Alencar, the Technical Coordinator of the 2022 Census in Pernambuco, João Marcelo Santos, the Operational Coordinator of the 2022 Census in Pernambuco, Tiago Figueiredo, and the Coordinator of Repacs, Enildo Meira, represented the IBGE in the meeting. Representing the City Hall of Recife were the Municipal Tax Manager, Manfredo de Andrade Sarda Júnior, and the Municipal General-Comptroller, Wanderley Dantas de Oliveira.
