Dayana Flávia Nascimento Silva, Sub-area Census Coordinator in Paraopeba/MG, together with Census Supervisor Lucas Rafael Araújo, and guides who work in the region, overcame difficulties to enumerate four housing units in a hard-to-reach area in Serra de Fechados (a mountainous area), in Santana de Pirapama (MG). A summary o four day on Serra de Fechados in Santana de Pirapama- MG::
- I drove for 04 hours.
- We traveled on horseback for 8 hours and a half.
- There was sunlight, rain, and hail at different times.
- We saw amazing landscapes.
- We found shelter in a church on top of the mountain range.
- We met people I’ll never forget.
- We got exhausted. And laughed!
- Pain, bruises, ticks.
- Housing units.
- Persons being enumerated.
- If that’s not portraying the country, I don’t know what it is. So many stories!
