Agribusiness CEO and former governor of Mato Grosso, Mr. Blairo Borges Maggi, received enumerator Jéssica Valéria Farias and answered the 2022 Census questionnaire, last Friday morning (Dec 2nd), at his farm in Cuiabá.

According to Mr. Maggi, the Census is extremely important for the country, for Brazilian society, for states and municipalities, because, based on this sample,  Brazil will get to know who is who and where they are, and what policies are necessary to reach the most vulnerable populations. “So, participating in the Census is giving directions or indicating the path that our country has to follow towards the future. I am quite happy to be registered", he reveals.

Former senator and former Minister of Agriculture in President Temer's administration, Mr. Maggi also posted an appeal video on his social media asking the population of Mato Grosso to welcome the enumerators and answer the survey. “I know that people are very afraid of receiving enumerators in their homes, due to security issues, but don't be afraid, enumerators can have their identities checked. They are very nice and I would like to invite everyone to participate in this Census because, as I said: it is based on these answers that Brazil will know what policies we are going to implement in the future.”
