Enumerator in Serra da Saudade

Arantina, Aguanil and Serra da Saudade are the first municipalities completely enumerated in Minas Gerais. With the census operation completed in these municipalities, the data point out that Serra da Saudade, the smallest municipality in the state and located in the center region, increased its population by 8.4%.

Arantina, located in the south of Minas Gerais, changed 3.3% compared with the IBGE´s estimate for 2021. Aguanil, located in the west region, reached 96% of the estimated population.

According to Rúbia Lenza, operational coordinator of the 2022 Census, all the parameters of the data collection are very consistent, denoting an excellent job. The operational coordination congratulated the census teams, which worked very efficiently, completing the census in 49 days. “There are a lot of municipalities completing their operations and we count with these teams to help in the data collection of the large municipalities, which lack census agents. We greatly thank all the census agents in Arantina, Aguanil e Serra da Saudade", completed Lenza.
