“The test of the 2022 Population Census in Mucajaí was a success.”

In this way, Roberto Kuerten, head of the IBGE´s State Unit in Roraima, defined the census operation carried in the central axis of the city, whose results were released on February 17 in a ceremony held at the Convention Center of the City Hall of Mucajaí.

The ceremony, which was covered by press vehicles, gathered the local population and authorities, like the mayor Eronildes Aparecida Gonçalves, secretaries and city councilors, as well as the IBGE team.

“We had the opportunity to check our hits, mistakes, our logistics and system. The experience in Mucajaí certainly prepared the entire team to go to the field in the Census in August,” noted Ângela Patrícia Lima, Census operational coordinator in Roraima.

“It was rewarding to work as an enumerator in this test and have direct contact with the population, which hosted us very well,” completed Thiago Bandeira, who worked as an enumerator in this test, but will work as a sub-area census coordinator in the Population Census.
