In an event held in the auditorium of the Municipal University of São Caetano do Sul (USCS) on March 17, the state coordinations of the 2022 Census presented the results of the test in the neighborhood of Prosperidade.

The ceremony counted with the participation of Mayor José Auricchio Júnior, the former President of the IBGE, Prof. Silvio Minciotti, the dean of the USCS, Prof. Dr. Leandro Campi Prearo, as well as city councilors and municipal secretaries.

The head of the State Unit, Francisco Garrido, highlighted the importance of the test and thanked the fundamental cooperation of the municipal administration for the success of this step. He also praised the effort of the entire IBGE team in carrying out the field work and the dissemination to the society.

The mayor emphasized the importance of statistical information to the formulation of assertive public policies, reinforcing that the municipality will continue to contribute to the 2022 Census operation.

The presentations of the results were made by the Coordinator of the Post-Enumeration Survey, Julia Santos, and by the Technical Coordinator, Vando da Paz, always reinforcing the IBGE´s commitment with transparency and with the quality of the data.

The event was broadly covered by the press, with stories in regional and national vehicles.

As highlighted by Santos in her interview to Record News, “The Census will help to see all the Brazilians.”
