The step of training and selection of enumerators is one of the most important to carry out the 2022 Census. It qualifies those who will directly participate in the field work, knocking the houses´ doors and interviewing their residents.

The organization of this phase is a challenge for all the UEs, since it involves acquiring physical space for a large number of people within narrow budgets and assuring all the health measures required to fight against the pandemic. For example, 1,400 enumerators will be trained only in Goiânia. They should interview more than 1.5 million inhabitants from August 1st onwards. For this reason, the partnerships established in February with the Federal Institute of Goiás and the Universo University Center represent a major advance. The two institutions kindly granted, for free, the number of rooms required to carry out the training.

In a visit on February 18, the operational coordinator, Daniel Oliveira, the training coordinator, Vanessa Lopes, and the coordinator of dissemination, Hugo Oliveira, established a partnership with the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Goiás (IFG), which involved the granting of 48 rooms.

They were hosted by the dean, professor Oneida Cristina Irigon, her office´s assistant, Gérley Cardoso, and professor João Cortes, who were available to help in whatever necessary. They reinforced the importance of the Census to the society, as well as to the academy.

On February 22, the coordinator and the head of the UE-GO, Edson Roberto Vieira, visited the UNIVERSO University Center. They were hosted by the director, professor Eliane Alves de Moura, an by the assistant of research and extension, professor Cristina Dias de Souza Figueira, who confirmed the granting of 11 rooms to train CCSs, ACMs and ACSs and more rooms, if needed.

With these agreements, the UE-GO guarantees the rooms required to train all the temporary servants who will work in Goiânia. Besides the support, the IFG will study to grant a room for the data collection station in the capital and training rooms in four more municipalities in the state (Águas Lindas de Goiás, Senador Canedo, Uruaçu and Jataí).
