Last Tuesday, February 22, the team of the UE-SP met the Community Security Council (CONSEG) to renew the support of that institution for the 2022 Population Census in the state. As in the past, CONSEG, together with the State Secretariat of Public Security, will support the census operation in the areas of security, dissemination and community actions for the assistance of enumerators and efficiency of the operation. The State Branch of SP committed to send short videos and stories about the methodology, security and census operation, as well as a virtual booklet that explains how to correctly identify IBGE servants during the Census.
In the state of SP, CONSEG has more than 400 groups and nearly 10 thousand volunteers. With this structure, CONSEG reinforces the participation of citizens in actions that preserve the public order.
Márcia Rodrigues, an IBGE census analyst, Ana Kazan, coordinator of REPACs, Brigadier General Carlos Sérgio Câmara Saú, Major Mauro Zacarias, Evaldo Coratto, President of CONSEG, deputy Aline Gonçalves, and Lieutenant Colonel Joel Rocha were present in the meeting.
