The first day of data collection in the Census dress rehearsal, carried out in the municipality of Coqueiro Seco, provided the first interviews to Danielle Melo, a Census sub-area coordinator who works as an enumerator this time.

Receptivity could be the keyword in the first two households visited. In the house of José Pedro dos Santos, 79, and Maria Luiza Soares, 77, disposition and good humor were present when answering the questions of the questionnaire.

“I liked the visit of the IBGE. It was very quick and I recommend that everybody is pleased to host the IBGE,” told the smiling Santos.

Before that, Melo had visited a household where a couple lived  with their son. According to the data of the last Census carried out by the IBGE, 532 out of 5,526 inhabitants (9.62%) were aged 60 years and over.

Up to Friday, November 26, 12 servants of the UE-AL appointed as enumerators collect information in nearly 1,800 households in Coqueiro Seco.
