The Census Dress Rehearsal in Pernambuco will begin soon and the training to prepare the 13 servants of the UE-PE involved in the operation enters its final stage. Classes began on October 18 and they will close next Wednesday (27).

Along the first week of training, the auditorium of the headquarter of the UE-PE hosted the 13 servants directly involved in the dress rehearsal, who were instructed by João Marcelo Santos, technical coordinator of the 2022 Census in Pernambuco, and Ivan Paiva, coordinator of CNEFE. Between today and Wednesday, the classes will be exclusively dedicated to the servants who will supervise and follow up the data collection.

The approach of the first part of the training, carried out between October 18 and 22, focused on the content of the Enumerator´s Manual, explains Tiago Figueiredo, operational coordinator of the 2022 Census. “Those who will work as enumerator could understand the concept of household and forms of approaching, as well as better understand how to use the Data Collection Mobile Device (DMC).”

In Pernambuco, the field work begins on November 3-4 by raising the characteristics of the surroundings, whereas the data collection will occur between November 5 and 19. The locality selected was the district of Macujê, which belongs to the city of Aliança, in the north of the state. That area comprises nearly one thousand households, split into three urban sectors and more three rural sectors.
