The training for the 2022 Census Dress Rehearsal started last Monday (18). The Dress Rehearsal will be carried out from October 29 onwards in the neighborhood of Jardim Estalagem, in Viamão. The enumerators are being trained up to the end of this week. In the next week, supervisor census agents, municipal census agents and sub-area census coordinators will be trained.

“The training is key to show them the methodologies and concepts of the Census in order to apply them in the field,” states Cláudio Sant’anna, technical coordinator of the Census in RS. He is one of the trainers, together with Luciano Marins, from the Canoas Agency.

Sant’anna explains that the classes use a number of teaching methods, like presentations from trainers, videos, dynamics and questions to students. “If a methodology is not working, we can change it for the training of enumerators and supervisors next year. So, the training itself is also a test,” concludes him.
