UE-PI partners with Military Police to support the Census

On Friday, October 15, the UE-PI was visited by officers of the Military Police of the state of Piauí for the presentation of the panel on public security in the state of Piauí, in order to subsidize the IBGE´s platform of the “Social and Operational Information Database (BIOS) - Information Base on Enumeration Areas”. The platform allows to raise information of areas in which the data collection is more difficult, thus helping in the planning and data collection of the 2022 Census, as well as of other household surveys.

Major Álvaro Lebre Neto presents data on public security in Piauí

The presentation of the panel on public security in the state of Piauí was carried out by Major Álvaro Lebre Neto, of the Directorate of Intelligence of the Military Police of Piauí, who showed statistical and location information about the major spots of theft, among other crimes, of the regions in the capital and in the interior of the state. Major Lebre Neto will provide the contacts of all the battalions of the MP to streamline any demands of the IBGE in terms of security of the technicians during the data collection. Captain Emanoel Nascimento de Sousa, also a member of the Directorate of Intelligence of the MP of Piauí, participated in the event as well.

The participants of the IBGE were: José Tavares da Silva Neto (GPS), Ranieri Ferreira Leite (Operational Coordinator of the Census), Pedro Andrade de Oliveira  (Technical Coordinator of the Census), Eyder Mendes Vilanova e Silva (Coordinator of Dissemination of the Census), Vinícius Freitas Rego Lima (SBT/PI), Tiago Figueiredo de Brito Nery (CNEFE), Antônio Emanuel Guedes da Cruz (GPS), Roosevelt Pinheiro Serra Filho (Head of the Teresina Agency) and Josiel Pereira dos Santos (Census Analyst).



Information will help to locate areas where data collection is more difficult
