UE/PE: 2022 Census test is main topic of REPAC in the municipality of Aliança

The homologation test for the 2022 Census was the main topic of the Meeting for Planning and Monitoring of the Census (REPAC) held last Friday (07) in the municipality of Aliança, in the area called Zona da Mata Norte de Pernambuco. In the state, the operation will be conducted in the district of Macujê, which is part of the city and is located 97 kilometers away from the capital, Recife. According to the 2010 Census, the location had 2,799 residents. The estimated population of Aliança for 2021 is 38,408 persons.

The meeting took place in the headquarters of the Aliança Municipal Government and the IBGE was represented by the area coordinator Jonathan Leite, employed in the Timbaúba branch, and by subarea coordinator Gilciara Santos. They were received by vice-mayor, Tiago Capitulino, by the president of the City Council, Pedro Fidelis, by members of several secretariats: health, Education, Social Assistance, Administration and of the communication department, and by representatives of the Macujê district. The head of the Pernambuco State Branch, Gliner Alencar, and the operational coordinator for the 2022 Census in Pernambuco, Tiago Figueiredo, participated in the meeting by means of a video conference.

In the meeting, the IBGE civil servants explained the objectives of the homologation test and requested support regarding infrastructure demands, without letting go of dissemination to get people to participate in the operation. “That was a very productive meeting. Municipal government is helpful and fully available to support the operation. Information on the meeting has already been posted on official municipal social media.”
